We offer training and consultancy to enable local people to be become Community Health Volunteers in the above areas of Health Work.
We can provide Training and Consultancy.Since October 2002, the group has developed its action plan for the coming year and has written and performed a drama about community involvement in health services. This was first performed to over 100 people at the Scottish Executives 'Building Strong Foundations' conference in November 2002 as part of the NHS Patient Focus, Public Involvement agenda and more recently at the New Opportunities Fund Scotland 2003 Conference at the Dewar Centre, Perth in March 2003.
In November 2000 we were awarded £1 million from the New Opportunities Fund & funding from Stirling Council, NHS Forth Valley and Forth Valley Primary Care NHS Trust for five years towards setting up a Healthy Living Centre. The overarching aim of this piece of work is to improve health & well-being and tackle inequalities. The work is carried out in the 8 regeneration areas of Fallin, Throsk, Cowie, Plean, Cultenhove, and Top of the Town, Raploch, and Cornton.
