With its monastic origins, the hall is a haven of tranquility, beautiful formal gardens in the spring, and log fires in winter. The hall is of Tudor origin, although there has been a house on the site since Roman times.

Regarded as one of Lincolnshire's best kept secrets, the hall is certainly one of England's most romantic settings, with its en suite accommodation including the four-poster honeymoon suite.

The hall possesses a wedding licence for the conducting of civil marriages in the intimate great hall, and caters for receptions in the dining room, or, depending on numbers, in a marquee on the lawns.

Blessings can be carried out in the little medieval Church of St Michaels close to the hall.

The hall may be hired for small conferences, meetings and "away days", where integrity is at a premium. Furnished with antiques and tapestries, its secluded setting provides total privacy. Exclusive functions, private dinner parties, and shooting parties are also welcome.

The hall is surrounded by excellent country pubs and small restaurants within a matter of minutes easy drive: French, Italian, traditional pub fare, and Indian tastes all catered for. Dinner is available in the house by appointment, but four persons or more are required.

The location also offers a wealth of advertising photo opportunities, whilst very successful corporate "open days" have been organised.

The hall is also host to a series of classical concerts held at different times of the year. The music is made even more wonderful by the ambience of this unique old country manor, with its Tudor architecture, log fires and atmospheric great hall.
